** IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT PLEASE READ - please disregard if your booking doesn't land between these dates - As of Dec 5th 2025 we have received notice from the Queenstown Lakes District Council, that there will be major wastewater infrastructure upgrades taking place along Robins Rd, the street the hostel is located on. They require both lanes of traffic to be closed on Robins Rd from MID-JANUARY TO EARLY APRIL. After Easter it will be changing to one lane traffic UNTIL LATE MAY 2026. VEHICLE ACCESS FOR AFFECTED PROPERTIES IN THE WORKSITE WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM THE NORTHERN END OF ROBINS RD (where Fresh Choice Supermarket is). Crews will be working Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm, some Saturdays will be affected and also brief periods of night works may be required. Of course if this concerns you and you wish to cancel within policy limits this is understandable. Apologies for the inconvenience, unfortunately this is out of our control. **
Keep in mind, we are a small property and have only LIMITED PARKING SPACES. Our LIMITED PARKING is on a FIRST COME, FIRST SEVE basis, we do not reserve. We advise with our parking at the back in particular, to walk down first to check for space before driving down. This is due to the fact the back of the hostel is fairly narrow for some to navigate. Again, LIMITED PARKING.
We are situated 5 minutes walk to the town centre and 3 minute walk to the supermarket.
We are friendly, cozy hostel with lots of great stuff for our guests to enjoy! Go for a walk and borrow some of our Frisbee golf discs and try them out at the Queenstown Gardens Course, or indulge in our FREE UNLIMITED Wi-Fi.
Our three fully-equipped kitchens have a great layout for cooking and meeting other guests and they are all stocked with free tea, coffee and sugar. We also have a BBQ grill, games, books, puzzles, & smart TV. Furthermore - check out our weekly events, you may be able to win a prize!
All of our dorm rooms have personal lockers with built-in power points so you can charge your electronic gadgets in total security. We also have USB plugs next to each dorm bed as well as a reading light. If you need padlocks, we have some that are FREE to barrow, just enquire at the front desk!
Our friendly staff are more than happy to give you advice and information about the local area and the rest of New Zealand, tours & activities.
