About

Drifter Christchurch is a design-led hybrid hotel in the heart of the city, built for curious travellers
Stylish private rooms, premium shared bunks, and communal spaces made for connection from a wellness studio and cinema to co-working spots and The Rambler bar to unwind, dine and mingle. Heritage character meets modern comfort, giving you a base that feels both social and seriously comfortable.
Step outside and you’re two minutes from the Christchurch Bus Interchange, the gateway to beachy Sumner, buzzing Riccarton and nearby towns, plus long-distance routes to Queenstown, Twizel and Auckland when the open road calls.
Chasing big-night energy? Te Kaha (One New Zealand Stadium) is a five-minute stroll, hosting massive concerts and legends of the Crusaders, All Blacks, Phoenix and Warriors.
Prefer adventures wild or something more chill? Willowbank Wildlife Reserve is 21 minutes away, and Opuke Thermal Pools & Spa is just a 1.5-hour escape into starlit steam and serenity.
Come drift with us. Make new mates, swap stories, and start the chapter you’ll talk about long after you’ve checked out.

Best hostel! They had great events like a walk around the city and social hour with free food and drinks! The facilities were so modern and clean, really comfy beds. Located in the city center and close walk to everything! Great value for price!

No fysical keys, adding stress to your stay to keep your battery alive. Due to the more "fancy" feeling, the social hostel atmosphere vanishes and everyobody is more on their own. Very good facilities and very nice hotel-like experience. If that what their after, they succeeded. But hotel != hostel.
